Race Seven : (607) - KOWLOON BAY HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 COPARTNER PRANCE (H408) J Orman After the event J Orman stated that his mount, which was having its first race start on the All Weather Track, did not appear to appreciate racing on this surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 CAPITAL DELIGHT (H262) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 4 BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (J316) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 SING DRAGON (J141) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 SUPERB CAPITALIST (H092) Y L Chung After the event Y L Chung stated that his mount did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to hold a more forward position and as a result settled further back in the field than intended.
Horse No 8 BUNDLE OF CHARM (G213) K Teetan From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Early favourite Bottomuptogether easily made all from gate four to win his dirt debut after notching four wins from 10 starts on turf. He lived up to his trials and can win again on this surface. Sing Dragon ran on well for second after a prominent run one off with cover. He's as honest as the day is long on this surface. Beauty Waves ran on well for third after a one-off trip from midfield. It was a good effort at his first all-weather start following a downgrade. Self Improvement just held on for fourth after a box-seat run. He had his chance but was able to pick up a pay cheque up in grade off a feather weight. Capital Delight just failed to get up for fourth after a wide trip towards the rear. He wasn't suited by the race tempo. Bundle Of Charm ran on without threatening after making his run one from the rear. Like the latter, he didn't get the race run to suit. Stellar Express never figured from behind midfield. He should stick to turf racing. The same can be said for Copartner Prance who found nothing after a speed-tracking run.
