Race Eight : (599) - DIANTHUS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 GOKO WIN (H069) H Bowman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 2 OUR LUCKY GLORY (G292) H Bentley Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by NOBLE GO which shifted out.
Near the 100 Metres was disappointed for clear running between KING LOTUS and E UNIVERSE and after being shifted to the inside of E UNIVERSE near the 50 Metres could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the event when it was positioned tight to the inside of E UNIVERSE.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 NEVER TOO SOON (E434) Z Purton From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Leaving the 200 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between WORLD HERO and GREAT SPIRIT.
NEVER TOO SOON was then shifted to the inside of WORLD HERO and MY FLYING ANGEL where it obtained a narrow run to the inside of MY FLYING ANGEL but then raced tight between MY FLYING ANGEL and KING LOTUS for the remainder of the event.
Horse No 4 GREAT SPIRIT (J155) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly and shortly afterwards was steadied when crowded by MEGA BONUS which shifted in and away from LUCKY PLANET.
Horse No 5 LUCKY PLANET (H235) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 MEGA BONUS (E184) C L Chau Shortly after the start was hampered when momentarily crowded by LUCKY PLANET.

Horse No 7 KING LOTUS (K186) L Hewitson Over the final 100 Metres raced tight between NEVER TOO SOON and E UNIVERSE and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
Horse No 8 MAJESTIC DELIGHT (K189) K Teetan On jumping was bumped by WORLD HERO and became unbalanced.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 E UNIVERSE (H151) E C W Wong Near the 400 Metres became unbalanced when it shifted in towards the running rail.
Horse No 10 NOBLE GO (K053) A Hamelin After being crossed by E UNIVERSE near the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied away from E UNIVERSE.
NOBLE GO then continued to race keenly in the middle stages.
Horse No 11 MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) M F Poon On jumping was bumped by OUR LUCKY GLORY when racing tight to the inside of E UNIVERSE.
Horse No 12 WORLD HERO (J413) A Badel Bumped at the start.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

After pinging the start from gate eight and straightening three lengths on top, drifting favourite Lucky Planet was much too good for a second straight win and third success following a stable change. Mega Bonus kept on gamely for second after a speedtracking run. He can break through at any moment after finishing in the mix in four straight runs. Majestic Delight ran on nicely for third in a clumped finish of eight runners after making his run two from the rear. It was an improved performance at his second start. Great Spirit ran on for fourth after a wide trip with cover from midfield. It was a decent effort carrying seven pounds more following a win. Punted late, Goko Win ran on nicely down the outside to just miss a spot in the first four after making his run at the rear from gate 12. He should find his mark shortly in this grade. My Flying Angel just plodded after a handy run. Never Too Soon only beat a couple in the end but was short of room and had to change course 150m out before getting squeezed out late following a patient ride second last from a wide draw. He had an excuse.
