Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (589) - NURTURING TALENT 1000M HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 2 FAST RESPONDER (J295) J Orman Shortly after the start raced in restricted room between MAGIC HALLOW and STAR SATYR which shifted out and away from ONE MORE.
Between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 3 ONE MORE (K261) Z Purton Passing the 400 Metres blundered.
Over the final 250 Metres was held up for clear running and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish.
Horse No 4 DREAM WINNER (H308) C L Chau When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer F C Lor advised that the horse had a throat surgery on 26 September 2024 and since that date he had been satisfied with the performances of DREAM WINNER.
He said at its last start at Sha Tin on 15 March 2025 DREAM WINNER was not suited by the "Good to Yielding" track conditions and today he attributed the improved performance to the horse being able to race on a firmer surface.

Horse No 5 FAST SPEED (K351) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 7 SPARKLING FELLOW (K175) B Avdulla Between the 350 Metres and the 50 Metres was badly held up for clear running behind MAGIC HALLOW.
Horse No 8 STAR SATYR (K231) Y L Chung Shortly after the start shifted out and was bumped.
Raced greenly throughout the event and lay in over the final 200 Metres.
Horse No 9 FUN ELITE (J042) L Hewitson Near the 300 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters.
Horse No 10 JUSTIFYING (K027) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 AURORA PATCH (K097) M F Poon A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 MAGIC HALLOW (J329) P N Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 HAYDAY (H321) K Teetan Approaching the 300 Metres was steadied when crowded between FUN ELITE which shifted in slightly and CELESTIAL COLOURS (H Bowman) which shifted out.
H Bowman was advised to exercise more care.

In a blowout result, rank outsider Dream Winner travelled behind midfield and edged clear after hitting the lead 100m out for a fourth win at his 15th start. Magic Hallow just held on for second after making his run from better than midfield on the stands side to cap a record quinella payout. It was his best run from three local starts. Sparkling Fellow ran on nicely for third when only a run presented itself 50m out travelling behind midfield on the stands side wearing blinkers for the first time in Hong Kong. Justifying was on his tippy toes 100m out after finding the lead 850m out from gate six. He failed in a higher grade after a comfortable debut win but it's still early days. Celestial Colours gradually faded after prompting the pace near the far side from gate one carrying top weight. He rarely produces a bad run. Fun Elite kept on one-paced after a handy run. Fast Responder came up one-paced after getting held up for a run until the 200m.
