Race Four : (584) - JC CAMPSITE REIMAGINATION PROJECT 1200M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 ENJOY GOLF (J222) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 MONTA FRUTTA (H455) Y L Chung Difficult to load into the starting gates.
The barrier manners of MONTA FRUTTA were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, MONTA FRUTTA will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
Made contact with the left side of its barrier on jumping.
Horse No 4 AHREN (K183) A Atzeni After the event, A Atzeni reported that from the outside barrier his instructions were to take up a forward position.
Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 BILLION TWO (K212) K C Leung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Noted to have blood in the mouth after the race.
Horse No 7 HONEST WITNESS (K283) Z Purton Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was then checked when crowded between ENJOY GOLF and LEAN MASTER, both of which shifted ground.
Z Purton pleaded guilty to a charge of improper conduct under Rule 155(5) in that after dismounting from HONEST WITNESS in the unplaced saddling area he struck the horse on one occasion with his whip in the area of the flank.
Having regard to Jockey Purton's poor record in relation to similar conduct, he was fined the sum of $25,000 and placed on notice that the Stewards would consider a more significant penalty should he be found guilty of a similar conduct in future.
Horse No 8 LEAN MASTER (H134) P N Wong When questioned, Apprentice P N Wong stated that the instructions were to lead the event.
She said after commencing well and when positioned to the inside of AHREN she allowed LEAN MASTER to improve slightly to ensure that she maintained the lead near the 900 Metres.
She said as she did so LEAN MASTER then commenced to race keenly and set a faster pace than she had intended.
She added that from the 550 Metres she continued to encourage her mount into the race before LEAN MASTER gave ground in the Home Straight.
After considering her explanation, the Stewards advised Apprentice Wong that, in their opinion, she should have held her mount together from the 550 Metres to give it the opportunity to finish the race off better entering the Home Straight.
Horse No 9 RATTAN GALAXY (K143) M F Poon Bumped at the start.
In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance after the 900 Metres was steadied away from BILLION TWO.
Horse No 11 SUNNY Q (J223) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between SAL and RATTAN GALAXY which shifted in and away from BILLION TWO.
Horse No 12 ELEGANT LIFE (J366) J Orman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Ahren tracked the speed from gate 12, hit the lead 100m out and drew clear for a maiden win at his third start. Favourite Enjoy Golf just got up for second after a box-seat run. He's now found one too good in five straight runs. Lean Master hung on for third after leading at one point by five lengths from gate one for 10-pound claimer Britney Wong. He's always a pace threat. Honest Witness just held on for fourth after recovering from a slow start to sit better than midfield before the first bend. He's given a good sight in both starts and should be winning with a bit more education. Monta Frutta took a while to load but did jump with the pack to travel fourth last before running on late to nearly hit the frame. He isn't far off a winning run on the back of two recent outings down in Class Four. Punted late Glaciated ran on without threatening after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's gone okay in both starts to date but is still a work in progress.
