Read the responses to this week’s Write to Win prompt, and choose the answer you like most. Based on your votes and YP editors’ picks, we will eliminate one contestant.

Apple: Cup noodles can take a sweet turn with an ice cream flavour. While ice cream-shaped noodles exist, we are flipping the script. Enjoy it as a dessert; the creamy sweetness intertwines with the subtle saltiness of the classic noodle base in a daring crossover, all for a thrilling new adventure of taste.

Avocado: Despite being the best-loved snack for many, cup noodles are usually unhealthy. If I could create a nutritious new flavour, it would be with avocado. Avocados are alimentary since they have a prodigious amount of nutrients, including fibre. Moreover, they contain various vitamins, which are crucial for our health.

Banana: I would create fusion cup noodles, combining different cuisines’ signature items. Italian pasta with slices of Japanese chashu for protein, topped with exhilarating Mexican jalapeño peppers for spice lovers along with delectable Korean pork bone broth. This balanced meal enriches taste buds and takes consumers on a culinary adventure.

Cherry: Wonton noodles have always been my dream flavour. I believe many Hongkongers have grown up eating this flavour. I wish Hongkongers could feel at home when they have this flavour of cup noodles wherever they go. I also want more people to learn more about Hong Kong’s local food and its many offerings.

Kiwi: I would like to challenge the usual perception of cup noodles and create a sweet flavour that serves as a nostalgic dessert, namely black sesame soup. I recall nights when I would eat black sesame soup made by my mother; hence, I’d love to encapsulate that feeling and spread the warmth.

Mango: I would create a curry fishball cup noodle flavour as they pay homage to the night markets of Hong Kong, where tender fishballs and the mouth-watering aroma of curry are the perfect match. Wherever you go, these noodles are sure to transport you to the heart of Hong Kong’s street food culture.

Orange: You will probably see people ordering honey barbecue pork or char siu in siu-mei shops. This dish is not only a delicacy but also represents Hong Kong. So, I would like to create honey cha siu cup noodles to give Hongkongers a taste of their favourite Hong Kong-style pork with an exotic twist.

Pear: Just imagine revisiting the taste of your childhood in a bite of a hot and spicy chips-flavoured cup noodle. This bag of chips has accompanied Hongkongers over the years. This flavour will preserve the authentic taste and bring the feeling of nostalgic joy anywhere in a cup.

Pineapple: I would love to create an instant noodle made out of potato skin, which contains significant nutrients. It can come with a light carrot soup. Without a shadow of a doubt, this innovative product is undoubtedly the right choice for anyone who is looking for a quick, healthy meal.

Strawberry: Mushroom rice-flavoured cup noodles. Picture this: tender slices of mushrooms, savoury plant-based meat, and a delightful blend of seasonings. It is not just noodles; it is a mix of noodles and rice. The rice adds a delightful texture that will surely captivate your taste buds. It is specifically designed with health-conscious individuals in mind, catering to their preferences for a nutritious and flavourful meal option.
