Crowds of excited panda lovers made the trip to Hong Kong’s Ocean Park on February 16, 2025 for their first glimpse of the two baby giant pandas that were born in August 2024. The panda cubs were the first to be born in Ocean Park in Hong Kong. Their mother, Ying Ying, is the oldest giant panda to successfully breed in captivity. A naming competition will help determine the official names of the cubs, popularly known as “Elder Sister” and “Younger Brother”.
