Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (298) - COTTON TREE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
On entering the track, BEAUTY ETERNAL got its head down and kicked out, resulting in its rider, Z Purton, being dislodged.
BEAUTY ETERNAL then proceeded for some time riderless during which WONDER KIT (C Y Ho) collided with BEAUTY ETERNAL.
After the contact between WONDER KIT and BEAUTY ETERNAL, C Y Ho dismounted from his mount.
Acting on veterinary advice that both BEAUTY ETERNAL and WONDER KIT were not suitable to race due to the prevailing circumstances and with BEAUTY ETERNAL having sustained a small wound to the right front heel, both horses were withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY ETERNAL and WONDER KIT will both be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Z Purton was subsequently examined by the Chief Medical Officer and passed fit to fulfil his remaining riding engagements.
CALIFORNIA CONCORD shifted out at the start, resulting in REVE PARISIEN being taken out onto PUBLICIST.
From the outside barriers, ATULLIBIGEAL, GOKO WIN and WORLD FAMOUS were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 800 Metres, CRYSTAL POWERFUL was taken wider and without cover by CALIFORNIA CONCORD which shifted out away from behind REVE PARISIEN.
After the 800 Metres, WORLD FAMOUS commenced to travel keenly and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ATULLIBIGEAL.
As EN POINTE was improving around SUPER VINCE passing the 500 Metres, EN POINTE was bumped by SUPER VINCE which shifted out from behind CRYSTAL POWERFUL to obtain clear running.
GLOBAL HARMONY had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and then lay out under pressure after the 200 Metres and approaching the 50 Metres shifted out and bumped CALIFORNIA CONCORD.
PUBLICIST, which was following CALIFORNIA CONCORD, was shifted in away from the heels of that horse in consequence.
EN POINTE lay in under pressure over about the final 200 Metres and close to the finishing line was corrected by its rider to prevent the horse from shifting in further.
After the 200 Metres, GOKO WIN was shifted out a number of horses to obtain clear running.
A veterinary inspection of REVE PARISIEN immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.
Before being allowed to race again, REVE PARISIEN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
EN POINTE, ATULLIBIGEAL and GLOBAL HARMONY were sent for sampling.

Atullibigeal got up 20m out after peeling widest out at the 250m travelling third last to ring up a first local win at his eighth start. He had been running well at the Valley and this wasn't a strong race. Global Harmony ran on nicely along the inside to finish a close second travelling three from the rear. He relished a step back to 1,200m at Sha Tin. Posttime favourite En Pointe found a couple just too good after dashing to the front 100m out from midfield. He's naturally returning to form in his three starts this term. Goko Win came from last to fill the frame without menacing the top three at massive odds. It was an improved effort second-up in Hong Kong. Plunged late California Concord knocked up 100m out after hitting the front 300m out in a pace-stalking role. He's still in search of a rating bottom. World Famous ran on without menacing from near the rear over an inadequate trip. He's itching for a downgrade.
