Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (493) - TAI MEI TUK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
HURRY HURRY GAIN shifted out at the start and bumped CALL ME TEDDY, causing both horses to become unbalanced and CALL ME TEDDY to lose ground.
WHIZZ KID shifted out at the start and brushed RISING FROM ASHES.
LYRICAL MOTION, which was leaning on the outside of its stall as the start was effected, began awkwardly and shifted out, resulting in BIG HAPPINESS losing ground when crowded for room inside RESOLUTE.
ALCARI began awkwardly.
At the 150 Metres, CALL ME TEDDY raced tight inside LYRICAL MOTION which shifted in away from RESOLUTE before being corrected by its rider.
A veterinary inspection of HARMONY FIRE and UNITED WE STAND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ALCARI and WHIZZ KID were sent for sampling.

Alcari wore down long-time leader Whizz Kid 30m out for the win after a handy run three off the grandstand side. He's really flying at the moment over the straight 1,000m. Firming to jumps the odds-on favourite Whizz Kid found one just too good after driving to the lead 850m out from a low draw. It was another fine effort carrying more weight following a win last start over the Valley 1,000m. Proud Dragon ran on well from midfield in the centre of the course to finish a close third. It was a good effort in his first run after bleeding in October. Resolute ran on from towards the rear to fill the frame without menacing the top three. It was a return to form after managing only a single placing from his past seven runs. United We Stand just held his ground after a prominent run near the stands side. He needed the run following a tendon injury in July. Lyrical Motion ran on without menacing from towards the rear. He's still acclimatising and likely requires a longer sprint trip. Newcomer Call Me Teddy just got by a few beaten rivals from towards the rear after a slow start. He needed the outing. New import King Land weakened after chasing the speed on the grandstand side. Like the latter, he was in need of the start.
