Blackpink will be back on stage on a screen near you

Remember that 30-second video Blackpink posted last week, with a bunch of cities and geographical coordinates? Turns out it was a teaser for the K-pop girl band’s upcoming live-streamed concert, the group’s first.

This morning, Blackpink released a trio of new mini-videos revealing they will be staging a performance, The Show, on December 27 at 1pm HKT.

To watch, fans need to sign up for membership of the Blackpink channel, then pay a one-off payment of HK$250 (HK$300 for the “plus” membership). This will then enable you to access the livestream from an hour before the show, then view the concert live on the channel.

Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé also recorded a message for fans, saying how excited they were to spend time with their fans, and that they hope that watching the performance will “kick away all those sorrows” of the year.

The announcement comes ahead of Sunday’s Mama Awards ceremony, Korea’s version of the Grammys, in which Blackpink have been nominated for Artist of the Year, Best Female Group, and Song of the Year for How You Like That, among other awards.
