Seafood waste turned into alternative plastic

A London-based startup called The Shellworks is developing a method to transform chitin, a biopolymer in shellfish waste, into new bioplastic products that are both biodegradable and recyclable. The method aims to tackle plastic pollution and offers a solution to reduce single-use plastic.
