Tens of thousands of runners participated in the 27th Hong Kong Marathon on February 9, 2025. They were greeted with cold and dry weather early in the morning with temperatures hovering at about 13.9 degrees Celsius (57°F). Organisers said some 42,500 runners were eventually expected to make the journey in the marathon and half-marathon, while more than 30,000 had signed up for the more leisurely 10 kilometre (6.4 mile) run.
