Hong Kong’s harbourfront welcomed a full-swing return of the city’s headline music festival Clockenflap over the weekend, with phenomenal J-pop duo Yoasobi packing the venue with a sold-out Friday and the first post-pandemic major performances in the city of mainland Chinese bands, including rock pioneers Omnipotent Youth Society, wooing fans.
Since being launched in 2008, Clockenflap has evolved from humble beginnings into Hong Kong's biggest annual celebration of music and the arts. The festival showcases world-famous musical acts as well as bands and DJs from Hong Kong and Asia.
