A Chinese-built railway linking a Bangladesh port city to a tourist hub in the southeast was inaugurated on November 11, 2023. The 104km (65 miles) railway was built by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation and the China Railway Group Limited. It aims to bolster connectivity and transport infrastructure in the South Asian country.
