Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (359) - WAIKUKU HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 FUN TOGETHER (H041) L Ferraris After the event, L Ferraris stated that from a wide barrier he was obliged to make use of his mount to take up a position outside the lead.
He said when placed under pressure in the Home Straight, under its top weight of 135 lbs, FUN TOGETHER did not respond to his riding.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 LESLIE (E471) J McDonald From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 3 SECOND TO NONE (H319) C Y Ho After the event, C Y Ho reported that despite riding his mount along in the early stages it failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position as instructed.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, SECOND TO NONE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 4 FANTASTIC FUN (J364) B Shinn Bumped at the start.
Horse No 5 BRILLIANT EXPRESS (J321) H Bowman Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ETALON OR (J273) A Badel Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was bumped by WORLD HERO and became unbalanced.
Horse No 7 TOP TIME (K006) K De Melo On jumping was crowded between FUN TOGETHER and LESLIE, both of which shitted ground.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 8 MR JUSTICE (K072) H Bentley Lay in near the 400 Metres, was bumped and became unbalanced.
Horse No 9 STRATHPEFFER (H095) L Hewitson Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Near the 300 Metres was bumped and taken out by FORERUNNER which shifted out to improve.
Horse No 10 FORERUNNER (G465) C Williams Near the 300 Metres shifted out and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 PATCH OF STARS (J343) K C Leung Shifted in on jumping and was bumped.
PATCH OF STARS, which had been held up, was disappointed for clear running after the 400 Metres between STRATHPEFFER and MR JUSTICE which lay in.
As a result, PATCH OF STARS made contact with MR JUSTICE and became unbalanced.
Horse No 12 EURO ROCKS (H153) C L Chau Lay in shortly after the start and was bumped.
After the 400 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of FUN TOGETHER.
After the event, C L Chau confirmed that he was instructed to take up a forward position on his mount.
Horse No 13 WORLD HERO (J413) A Pouchin Shortly after the start was bumped by EURO ROCKS which lay in before being corrected by its rider.
When giving ground after the 200 Metres raced tight to the inside of FUN TOGETHER .
Horse No 14 PERFECTO MOMENTS (J003) Y L Chung Shortly after the start was crowded between STRATHPEFFER which shifted out slightly and FANTASTIC FUN which shifted in after making contact with PATCH OF STARS.
After the event, Y L Chung confirmed that from an inside barrier he was instructed to take up a forward position.

Forerunner ran on from fourth last to get up 60m out for an overdue second win at his 17th start. Favourite Brilliant Express found one just too good after surging to the lead 250m out following a handy run wide with cover from gate eight. He's a winner waiting to happen. Etalon Or ran on nicely to finish a close third after a wide with cover trip from midfield. He's racing very well without winning yet from six starts. Patch Of Stars ran on nicely through the middle for fourth after a patient ride four from the rear. It was a good run with a step up to 1,400m after flashing potential in a pair of 1,200m runs. Strathpeffer ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was another honest performance over 1,400m. Specked late Euro Rocks peaked on his run 100m out after settling third in the run from gate 11.
