Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (758) - MEI LAM HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
MARK THE MOMENT jumped only fairly.
EVERYONE'S VICTORY jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
SUGAR SUGAR was slow to begin and then was crowded by BEAR SLAM which shifted out.
Near the 800 Metres, GUMMY GUMMY shifted out and made contact with ELON when both runners contested a position with cover behind SELF IMPROVEMENT.
As a result, ELON was obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter.
Again near the 600 Metres, GUMMY GUMMY and ELON made contact.
Approaching the first turn near the 800 Metres, MARK THE MOMENT lay in, brushed the running rail and became unbalanced.
SELF IMPROVEMENT raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the race, K H Chan (SUGAR SUGAR) reported that, in his opinion, his mount did not appreciate racing on the All Weather surface.
A veterinary inspection of SUGAR SUGAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GUMMY GUMMY and SELF IMPROVEMENT were sent for sampling.

Firming favourite Gummy Gummy won going away after a comfortable midfield run to improve his record over the dirt 1,200m to two wins and two seconds. He remains one to follow next season on this surface. Self Improvement stayed on well for second following a handy run wide without cover. He was able to build on a pleasing debut effort on turf 14 days ago. Mark The Moment just clung on for third after a prominent run on the fence. He continues to race well without winning. Everyone's Victory dashed late near the inside to snatch fourth after a patient ride one from the rear. He's gone all right in his past two starts in this grade following a Class Four success. Lightning Bolt made a mild bid without ever looking a threat after a rails run worse than midfield. He tends to mix his form.
