Recap by phillip woo
Willie Way just held off Great Treasure after hitting the front 150m out following a prominent run to give trainer Paul O'Sullivan his first win of the campaign. He's pretty honest and does go well fresh. Great Treasure came on nicely down the outside from the rear of the field. He's racing in great spirits and appears to have the tools to steal a race in this grade now. McQueen came on well near the inside to finish a close third travelling two from the back along the inside. He can produce an odd good run at times. Cheerful Giggles kept on dourly to just finish out of the placings following a pace-stalking run. He's coming to hand in his two starts for his new trainer this term. New Elegance peaked on his run 50m out after hitting the front 280m out racing box-seat. Kiram wasn't far off the top-five in the end after travelling one from the back. Favourite Beauty Day gave way 150m out after over-racing on the lead up in grade and distance off a light weight.
