In celebration of the South China Morning Post’s 120th anniversary, the media organisation, in collaboration with presenting partner Hongkong Land, has opened a pop-up exhibition at Landmark Atrium, Central, to showcase its heritage and future relevance in shaping the international story of Hong Kong.

“The South China Morning Post was founded in 1903. For the past 120 years and counting it has charted the city’s rising and global influence, the strength and determination of its community, its transformation and connections, and its vision for the future. We are proud to have been part of this journey, every step of the way,” said Catherine So, CEO of the South China Morning Post. “I invite the public to visit the pop-up and join us in celebration of our rich heritage, momentum, and collective future.”

This exhibition runs from October 20 to November 14 and showcases 18 archive prints from the newspaper’s 120-year history, along with six quotes from prominent individuals, providing insight into key moments in our city’s incredible journey. Exhibition visitors who take a photo in the “I Read the SCMP” photobooth will receive an exclusive subscription offer.

“What gives stories renewed relevance and impact is when people talk about them, and that’s what we’re doing with this exhibition,” said Kevin Huang, chief operating officer of the South China Morning Post. “We’re getting people to talk about our inspiring story, our rich heritage, forward momentum and our bright collective future.”
