5 things to know about BamBam, K-pop band GOT7’s Thai rapper
BamBam, who turns 23 on May 2, counts BTS’s Jungkook, Blackpink’s Lisa, Seventeen’s Mingyu and NCT’s Jaehyun as close friends, but what else is there to know?
GOT7’s recent comeback album “DYE” has topped charts worldwide, and their music video Not By The Moon has reached more than 12 million views just 30 hours after release. Along with their success, member BamBam is no stranger to fans’ affection. He has released self-directed videos, held a fan meeting tour and collaborated with another Thai artist all while continuing to show gratitude for the support he receives.
As GOT7 continue on with their promotions, here are five things you should know about the group’s luxurious Thai rapper, who turns 23 on May 2.
He first appeared on a reality survival show
BamBam trained with JYP Entertainment for more than three years before debuting in GOT7. He, along with fellow members Mark, Jackson and Yugyeom, appeared on an episode of MNET's reality survival program WIN: Who Is Next in 2013, where they competed against YG Entertainment trainees.
He is a social butterfly
He is known to be friends with other Thai idols in the industry, and keeps their relationships close through a group chat. BamBam has been friends with Blackpink’s Lisa since childhood and they were part of the same dance crew, We Zaa Cool, in Thailand. He is also close with NCT’s Ten and CLC’s Sorn.
He also loves to hang out with his fellow 97-liner friends, such as GOT7’s Yugyeom, Seventeen’s Mingyu, The8, and DK, NCT’s Jaehyun, Astro’s Cha Eun-woo and BTS’ Jungkook.
