A month after he was charged with domestic violence, Hollywood actor Michael Madsen has filed for divorce from his estranged wife DeAnna Madsen, accusing her of driving their son to suicide.
The documents mention that the couple separated in January 2022, the same month their 26-year-old son Hudson died by suicide.
The documents further allege that Madsen believes DeAnna’s alcoholism and negligence are what drove their son to end his life.
In the divorce petition, Madsen further claimed to be “a victim in an abusive, codependent and toxic relationship”. The actor is seeking his own domestic violence restraining order against his former partner.
DeAnna is Madsen’s third wife. The couple tied the knot in 1996 and have two other sons, Kalvin and Luke.
