The dating and life coach shares a daughter with her actor ex-husband; the pair are still feuding publicly after he failed to pay child support, and bitterly divorced in 2020
Hollywood actor Tyrese Gibson just had a Fast & Furious run-in with the law, which ended with his arrest. The actor was cuffed after he was found in contempt of court by a Fulton County, Georgia, judge for failing to pay child support to his ex-wife, Samantha Lee.
Gibson and Lee share a five-year-old daughter named Soraya. Despite the arrest, Gibson was given the option to avoid incarceration by paying US$73,500 to Fulton County officials. According to a statement from Lee’s lawyer, Adam Gleklen, to The Hollywood Reporter, she requested that her ex-husband not be incarcerated so they can “move forward with their lives for the best interest of their daughter”.
After raising concern about his arrest, Gibson took to his Instagram Stories to address fans. “Getting arrested wasn’t easy … As a matter of fact, it was very traumatic … One would ask why does this judge Kevin M Farmer and my ex Samantha Lawyer Adam Glickman [Gleklen] … hate me so much?” he wrote.
In a separate recent Instagram post, the actor and rapper shared a series of photos featuring his children, captioned, “The love that a father can have for his children can’t quite be explained … Whatever the outcome is today … I am and will forever be their father.”
Gibson has now been released from custody after appealing the ruling, according to TMZ, but still owes the ordered amount. As for how Lee’s doing, she just posted an Instagram Reel with the caption, “Keep smiling.”
