4 bombshells in docuseries Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter – from the dysfunctional family and the Backstreet Boy’s lawyers rejecting his sexual assault allegations, to the rift between the brothers

- Nick Carter was on top of the world during Backstreet Boys’ heyday in the early 2000s, but after the #MeToo movement, 3 women have sued him for rape – but his lawyers filed for a defamation countersuit
- Released on May 27, the 4-part docuseries also shed some light on the rift between Nick and his late brother Aaron, who publicly supported the women who accused Nick of sexual assault

An explosive new four-part docuseries titled Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter, investigates the troubled dynamics within Carter’s family. The show premiered on May 27 and is available for streaming on Max.
Here are four things we learned so far:
1. The dysfunctional Carter family

While the series primarily focuses on Nick, it delves into the separation of his parents Robert and Jane too. The docuseries also shed some light on the rest of the Carter siblings like Nick’s younger brother, Aaron Carter – a prominent teen pop singer in the early 2000s who openly battled alcohol and drug addiction, which tragically led to his untimely death in November 2022 at the age of 34.
2. The accusations against Nick Carter

In the docuseries that premiered on May 27, three women – Melissa Schuman, Shannon Ruth and Ashley Repp – spoke about their alleged assaults throughout the early 2000s. The women have each sued Carter, who has denied their accusations and collectively filed a countersuit against all three for defamation.
