Horse No 1 UNBELIEVABLE (J130) K C Leung Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 BRAVEHEARTS (H389) Y L Chung Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost ground.
Before being allowed to race again, BRAVEHEARTS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
Horse No 3 ILLUMINOUS (J170) K Teetan Shortly after the start was crowded between UNBELIEVABLE and BILLIONAIRE SECRET which was taken out by ROMANTIC CHARM which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 AWESOME FLUKE (J050) H Bentley From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 6 INTREPID WINNER (G144) K De Melo A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 NICHOLSON RETURNS (E452) L Hewitson From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount did not travel well at any stage of the event and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of NICHOLSON RETURNS was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, NICHOLSON RETURNS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 10 EIGHTEEN CARAT (J104) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
Horse No 11 KIMBERLEY (H329) A Atzeni As A Hamelin was unable to fulfil the engagement on KIMBERLEY due to being overweight, A Atzeni was substituted as the rider of that horse.
The explanation provided by Jockey Hamelin for his overweight was accepted having regard to his good record in relation to like offences.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Races 6 - 10 were each put back 10 minutes due to lightning activity identified in Sha Tin area prior to the scheduled starting time of Race 6.
2.
Trainer K L Man was fined the sum of $2,000 for entering J368 in a stalls test when such horse was unbranded.
3.
Racing Laboratory tests of GALLANT CROWN, JUMBO LEGEND, UNITED ENDEAVORS, REACH GOAL, SHARPEN BRIGHT, PALACE PAL, CAN'T GO WONG, NORTHERN BEAST, BIG TWO, GLORY B, WINNING HEART, CAPITAL LEGEND, SNOWALOT, KING ECCELLENTE, OUR LUCKY GLORY, BEAUTY WAVES, HARMONY FIRE, SHOW RESPECT, ZOOM BOOM, HARMONY N BLESSED and BEAUTY INFINITY (27.3.24) proved negative.

Eighteen Carat kept finding after clearing to the lead from gate 11 near the 1,500m for a first local win. He got the race run to suit after showing some ability in two of four other runs. Unbelievable could not reclaim the lead after jumping on top from gate four. The change in tactics nearly worked out but the 19-pound swing in the weights was the difference in the end. Favourite Illuminous ran on steadily for third without threatening the top two after settling one off the rail behind midfield. He wasn't suited by the race tempo. Billionaire Secret made some ground for fourth after travelling on the rail in midfield. He rarely produces a bad run over the 2,000m. Punted late, Romantic Charm just held his ground after settling on the rail run in better than midfield. It was an OK effort with a step up to 2,000m. Awesome Fluke ran on without threatening after biding his time three from the rear. He is a hard one to get right but did not get the race run to suit. Kimberley weakened after chasing the leading pair with cover. He had his chance.
