Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (400) - SHAN KWONG ROAD PARK HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 COURIER MAGIC (H290) A Hamelin Crowded on jumping by FAITHFUL TRINITY which shifted out.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 SUPERB MOVE (G304) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 DAILY TROPHY (H283) B Avdulla After the race, B Avdulla reported that it was not his intention to lead, but from a favourable barrier when his mount commenced reasonably well, DAILY TROPHY was able to lead the event.
However, B Avdulla could offer no explanation for DAILY TROPHY weakening in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.
The performance of DAILY TROPHY was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, DAILY TROPHY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Noted to have lost its right hind plate after the race.
Horse No 4 CHOICERUS (H029) H Bentley Shifted out at the start and made contact with MISTER ARM.
Near the 1200 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from HAPPIHOOD.
Horse No 6 HAPPY JAI JAI (E069) M L Yeung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 7 MEDIC ELITE (G129) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 FAITHFUL TRINITY (A247) E C W Wong Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his instructions were to go forward, but after his mount commenced awkwardly, it did not show sufficient pace despite being ridden along.
He said as a result he was unable to take up a forward position as instructed.
Horse No 9 CHIRON (E151) K C Leung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
For some distance near the 400 Metres was held up behind the weakening MISTER ARM.
Horse No 10 FOXHUNTER WAY (E296) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.
In the Home Straight lay in and proved reluctant to shift to the outside of MEDIC ELITE in the early part of the Home Straight.
Horse No 11 MIGHTY STAR (G117) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Held up for a short distance on the Home Turn.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 MISTER ARM (D491) H T Mo Bumped at the start.

After settling better than midfield, second favourite Medic Elite drew clear 150m out for a deserving second win from 10 starts this term. He's in great form this season. Mighty Star was drawn in gate 11 and made his run from the rear of the field to stay on nicely in the closing stages and finish second. He relished a step back to the course and distance of an early runner-up result. Firming favourite Superb Move had his chance after a prominent run on the fence but only whacked on at one pace for third. He couldn't defy the big weight. Chiron came from near last for fourth. He was able to back up a laststart win over the dirt 1,650m. Foxhunter Way stayed on next best after settling one off the rail in midfield. He's improved a position on each of his three outings this term. Choicerus made a mild bid after travelling on the rail behind midfield. He went a shade better with a step up to 1,650m at his second run in Class Five. Happihood travelled in midfield on the fence but came up one paced. Happy Jai Jai will sleep well after a torrid run near the speed from gate 12.
