Race Four : (318) - TSUI LOK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1800Meters
Horse No 1 DARCI JOY (E161) E C W Wong Jumped awkwardly.
Approaching the 400 Metres was taken out.
Horse No 2 MISTER DAPPER (H376) H Bowman Near the 400 Metres was shifted to the inside of READY PLAYER ONE to secure clear running and as a result made contact with JUBILATION for some distance near the 350 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 PEGASUS GENERAL (G189) M Chadwick From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 5 ROMANTIC FANTASY (H168) A Badel Kicked a rail when proceeding to the Start, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 6 SERANGOON (H296) L Hewitson From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 400 Metres was steadied away from DARCI JOY when that runner was taken out slightly by ROMANTIC FANTASY.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 READY PLAYER ONE (G143) C Y Ho After the race, C Y Ho stated that he was able to take up a forward position, but, in his opinion, READY PLAYER ONE appreciates racing on tracks that have more give than today's surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.
Horse No 10 JUBILATION (G029) K Teetan Bumped at the start.
Near the 350 Metres was bumped for some distance.
Horse No 11 SHARPEN BRIGHT (H276) B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped JUBILATION.
Approaching the 1000 Metres made contact with the running rail.
Horse No 12 SPECIAL HEDGE (H354) C L Chau After the race, C L Chau stated that he was asked to take up a forward position from the inside barrier, but not necessarily lead.
He said after commencing well he was able to lead without having to pressure his mount to do so.

Horse No 14 SUPER CONTENTED (H251) K De Melo After the race, Trainer C Fownes confirmed that with the horse stepping up in distance today and with its light weight, he had instructed Jockey K De Melo to endeavour to take up a more forward position.

Special Hedge just scrambled in after a battle with Super Contended over the late stages after driving to a clear lead 1,450m out for a maiden win at his fifth start. He relished a return to the surface of a third two runs ago over 1,600m. Super Contended just failed to reel in the winner after settling box seat following a good getaway from gate nine. He's heading in the right direction. Forever Folks plodded over the final 50m to hold third after a prominent run one off the fence. He was able to back up an improved effort last start over the 1,600m. Favourite Mister Dapper ran on steadily to just miss a placing after a rails run from behind midfield. It was a better effort with a step back in distance after failing to handle 2,000m last start. Punted late Jubilation made some ground late near the inside to finish next best settling better than midfield. It was an okay effort carrying a few pounds more following a win. Sharpen Bright ran on without threatening from towards the rear. He's still trying to find the right course and distance. Darci Joy made some ground to finish next best travelling deep towards the rear.
