Race Two : (252) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY WEDDING COLLECTION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 FLASH POINT (H250) L Hewitson The performance of FLASH POINT, which finished tailed out on the second consecutive occasion, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, FLASH POINT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 MAGIC SUPREME (D144) E C W Wong Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 FAST BUCK (H126) B Avdulla Bumped at the start and became unbalanced.
Horse No 4 SHANGHAI STYLE (J093) K Teetan Hung out on the Home Turn.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 STRATHBARRY (H413) C L Chau A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea and also found the horse to have sustained a small cut to the left hind leg.
Before being allowed to race again, STRATHBARRY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 MAYHEM (H226) A Atzeni Leaving the 1100 Metres was steadied when crowded by SMART FOLKS (A Hamelin) which shifted in whilst being ridden forward.
A Hamelin was severely reprimanded.
Near the 700 Metres was steadied when crowded between STRATHBARRY and ACA POWER which shifted out after being steadied away from SMART FOLKS.
Horse No 7 ACA POWER (E144) A Badel In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 700 Metres got its head up when positioned close to SMART FOLKS.
Horse No 9 SMART FOLKS (D343) A Hamelin After the race, A Hamelin reported that he was obliged to ride his mount along throughout the early and middle stages to hold a forward position.
He said SMART FOLKS gave ground in the Home Straight and raced in a disappointing manner.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of SMART FOLKS was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, SMART FOLKS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 10 REGENT GLORY (E323) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 STRIVE FOR GLORY (D186) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 12 DAILY TROPHY (H283) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly, made contact with FAST BUCK and then shortly after the start blundered badly when it appeared to strike the heels of FAST BUCK.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No EURO ROCKS (H153) M L Yeung Withdrawn on 16.12.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared FLASH POINT.
Before being allowed to race again, EURO ROCKS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Plunged in betting, Regent Glory responded well to take control 100m out after a box seat run for a second career win at his first start on the dirt surface from 23 starts. He had placed once at each track in four other starts this term. Magic Supreme stayed on well for second after finding a prominent spot one off the fence from gate 11. He's mixing his form but did win two starts ago. Well-backed Lean Master grudgingly gave way for third after dictating the pace from gate nine. He's found his niche to place in consecutive runs on this surface. Mayhem was doing some nice work late for fourth after a patient ride three from the rear. It was a good run trying the dirt after going okay in his opening two over the Valley 1,200m this term. Fast Buck ran on steadily after a one-off run from midfield. He can produce an odd good run on this surface but is limited. Aca Power got going late ridden third last to win a three-way go for sixth prize money. Both backmarkers Strive For Glory and favourite Daily Trophy ran on without threatening.
