Racing Incident Report
Race Ten : (260) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY BELOVED COLLECTION HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 NOT USUAL STAR (G396) E C W Wong Bumped heavily shortly after the start.
Between the 400 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.
Near the 150 Metres was shifted to the inside of CELESTIAL COLOURS to continue into clear running.
Horse No 2 CELESTIAL COLOURS (H362) L Hewitson Leaving the 900 Metres raced keenly when being steadied to allow WUNDERBAR to cross.
Horse No 3 EXCELLENT FIGHTER (G343) A Atzeni Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and in the middle stages raced keenly.
Approaching the 300 Metres was bumped by MUGEN which shifted out.
Horse No 4 ALL IS GOOD (G269) B Avdulla Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 SELF IMPROVEMENT (H337) C L Chau Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 7 MUGEN (H338) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 SAKEWIN (G275) H T Mo On jumping was bumped by KA YING VICTORY which shifted in, resulting in SAKEWIN becoming unbalanced.
The performance of SAKEWIN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, SAKEWIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 CALIFORNIA VOCE (H258) C Y Ho From the outside wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 KA YING VICTORY (H287) Z Purton Bumped at the start.
Leaving the 900 Metres was steadied away from CELESTIAL COLOURS.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 WUNDERBAR (H411) J McDonald Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 MONTA FRUTTA (H455) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 13 MASTER STROKE (J036) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Had difficulty obtaining clear running for some distance approaching the 300 Metres.
Horse No 14 AMAZING RUN (H401) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No MODULECONSTRUCTION (H127) C Y Ho Withdrawn on 16.12.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left front tendon injury) and replaced by second Standby Declared Starter CALIFORNIA VOCE.
Before being allowed to race again, MODULECONSTRUCTION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No RAGNARR (H297) M L Yeung Withdrawn on 15.12.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by first Standby Declared Starter AMAZING RUN.
Before being allowed to race again, RAGNARR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Mugen won with plenty in hand after quickening nicely to hit the front 100m out following a patient ride fourth last to make it two on the trot this season. He should stay in the grade and can win again. Wunderbar found one too smart on the day after hitting the lead 350m out following a speed-chasing run from gate nine. It was a solid effort up in grade by the three-year-old and he's got a bright future. Excellent Fighter just got up for third without threatening the top two after a wide without cover run settling midfield from gate 13. It was a better run second-up this term with a step back to his favourite 1,200m. Celestial Colours grudgingly gave way after handing up the lead to Sakewin 1,000m out following a quick start. He's run with merit in both local starts. Amazing Run made some ground late after settling two from the rear. He went a shade better following a gear change. Not Usual Star ran on steadily from midfield under a 10-pound claimer. He might be one to keep safe with a stronger rider over 1,200m or 1,400m at Sha Tin.
