Race Seven : (229) - LONGINES INTERNATIONAL JOCKEYS' CHAMPIONSHIP (HANDICAP)- 3RD LEG - Class 3 - 1650Meters
Horse No 2 FLAGSHIP WARRIOR (G452) J McDonald Near the 250 Metres was momentarily crowded between QUANTUM PATCH and STAR CONTACT which shifted out and away from SPLENDID LIVING.
Horse No 3 SIXTH GENERATION (G120) K Teetan After the race, K Teetan reported that his mount raced too keenly in the event and as a result failed to finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 QUANTUM PATCH (H166) M Barzalona Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 IVY LEAGUE (H116) R Moore From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 SILVER SONIC (H171) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 STORM LEGEND (G139) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly and lost ground and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Lay out in the middle stages.
Horse No 10 FLYING MOJITO (G412) H Doyle Jumped only fairly and was bumped shortly after the start by SIXTH GENERATION which shifted in.
After the race, H Doyle stated that her mount was disadvantaged by settling further back in the field tonight after being bumped shortly after the start and found it difficult to make up ground, particularly with the race being run outside standard time throughout the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 D STAR (G374) Y Kawada Jumped only fairly.
Near the 400 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by QUANTUM PATCH (M Barzalona) which was shifted to the outside of FLAGSHIP WARRIOR to secure clear running.
M Barzalona was severely reprimanded.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 STAR CONTACT (E472) R King Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Silver Sonic raced prominently one off the fence under Zac Purton, surged to the lead 150m out and found plenty to ring up his second Hong Kong win from nine local starts. He placed second up this season before failing once on a wet track and once following a difficult run. Favourite Quantum Patch dashed well to grab second after Mickael Barzalona rode him patiently second last. He ran well carrying more weight following his last-start win. Punted late, All Beauty got up late for third after travelling on the rail in midfield. It was another honest effort. Splendid Living grudgingly gave way after rushing forward from gate 10 to track the leader. His heavy weight took its toll again. Flagship Warrior ran on steadily following his trip one off the fence behind midfield to finish the next best. His first attempt at Happy Valley's 1,650m was an OK one. Star Contact kept on evenly after chasing the speed without without cover from barrier eight. Sixth Generation disappointed after getting all the favours in the box seat. D Star slept well after travelling four wide behind midfield.
