Recap by phillip woo

Post-time favourite Talents Supremo got up in the last stride to deny Travel Golf for a first win at his 14th start. Travel Golf did everything but get the win after hitting the front 150m out following a handy run one off the rail. He was unlucky in his past two runs after nearly winning first up this term and can salute shortly. Joy Coming stayed on for a placing without threatening the top two after getting all the favours from gate three. He's done well to fill the frame in two of three runs after a win. After a rails run from midfield, early favourite Sight Hero ran on steadily near the inside to fill the frame. It was another honest effort despite carrying top weight. Aca Power got up late to snatch fifth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's run with merit once on each surface this season but prefer him down in Class Five. Galvanic was on his tippy toes 100m out after working hard on the speed from gate 12 to eventually lead 300m out. You can forgive him for the run. Tattenham made headway late from towards the rear without threatening.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four : (170) - KYOTO HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 SIGHT HERO (D487) K Teetan Made the Home Turn awkwardly, shifted out and was steadied away from FAST BUCK.

Horse No 3 PRIME MORTAR (G328) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly and then bumped with JOY COMING.

Raced keenly in the middle stages.

Near the 550 Metres became unbalanced when reluctant to hold its position to the inside of ACA POWER.

After the race, K C Leung stated that the horse was reluctant to race inside other runners during the event.

He added that due to the manner in which PRIME MORTAR finished the race off in the Home Straight, he recommended to connections that they consider stepping the horse up in distance in its future starts.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 GALVANIC (H147) C Y Ho Lay in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.

After the race, C Y Ho advised that despite riding his mount along in the early stages, it did not show its usual pace and as a result was caught wide in the early stages.

He said entering the Back Straight, when caught wide, he was obliged to make further use of his mount to continue to go forward and obtain a position closer to the rail and as a consequence when he placed his mount under pressure in the Home Straight, it did not finish the race off strongly.

Horse No 5 FAST BUCK (H126) L Currie At declaration time, Z Purton was declared as the rider of both FAST BUCK and TALENTS SUPREMO.

It was established that Z Purton had a firm commitment to ride TALENTS SUPREMO.

As such, the Stewards permitted L Currie to be substituted as the rider of FAST BUCK.

For this declaration error, Trainer J Size was fined $2,000.

Approaching the 300 Metres was inconvenienced when positioned close to the heels of JOY COMING (M L Yeung) which shifted out.

M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 TATTENHAM (H121) A Hamelin Making the first turn raced keenly and lay out.

After the race, A Hamelin stated that his mount jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was crowded for room and as a result could not obtain a forward position.

He added after entering the Back Straight, he had to come back further in the field to obtain cover and then in the Home Straight the horse ran home fairly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 TRAVEL GOLF (H063) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 10 HARMONY N HOME (C531) C L Chau Crowded shortly after the start.
