Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite Copartner Ambition travelled in the box seat, hit the lead 50m out and just held off Son Pak Fu to make it back-to-back victories despite his return to Class Three. He is in good form and could win another race soon. Son Pak Fu ran on nicely with two gallopers wider to make it close on the wire. He was able to reproduce his best form first up despite carrying the top weight. Toronado Phantom got up for third despite getting impeded inside the final 100m. He is well rated and fitter following his two starts this term. Fun N Glory closed near the inside to fill the frame after biding his time four from the rear. He will be one to follow if he finds his way back into Class Four. Lucky Gor was wayward over the final 100m after leading from gate eight and turning the final bend two lengths on top. It was not a bad run in a higher class following his last-start success. Lucky Eight tracked the speed from barrier 12 but was on his tippy toes 100m out. He may not have been at his best on the wet track. Late-fancied second favourite Call Me Dandy travelled last after making a slow start. Zac Purton took it easy on him late on.
