Racing Incident Report
Race One: (549) - FLAMINGO FLOWER HANDICAP - Class 5 - 2200Meters
CABLE SPEED shifted in and made contact with the right side of its barrier on jumping.
FORTUNE PATROL was slow to begin.
From the outside barriers, FORTUNE TRIPLE and DAILY BEAUTY were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
JOLLY FOREVER raced keenly in the early and middle stages and lost its right front plate passing the 1000 Metres.
After the race, K C Leung (JUBILATION) reported that his mount was caught wide and without cover in the early stages and as a result he allowed JUBILATION to stride forward whereby it raced outside the lead near the 1500 Metres.
He added that when placed under pressure from the 600 Metres, JUBILATION did not respond to his riding and gave ground in the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of JUBILATION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, K Teetan stated that whilst CABLE SPEED was able to lead in the early stages, near the 1500 Metres he was pressured firstly by JUBILATION when that runner went forward when caught wide.
He added that again near the 1000 Metres CABLE SPEED was pressured in the lead when LOYAL AMBITION went forward to cross his mount and as a result CABLE SPEED was left without a finishing effort.
A veterinary inspection of CABLE SPEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CABLE SPEED, LOYAL AMBITION and AI ONE were sent for sampling.

Loyal Ambition kept up a strong gallop after zipping to a narrow lead from favourite Cable Speed 850m out after travelling midfield early on for a maiden win at his 23rd start. He had been threatening to salute all season long. Well-backed Ai One found one too smart after getting all the favours fourth on the fence. It was one of his better performances at his second start in Class Five. Punted late, Lucky Missile ran on steadily to fill a placing after making his run three back on the fence. It was a better performance with a step up to 2,200m at his third straight performance in Class Five. Fortune Triple made headway late to finish a non-threatening fourth after biding his time three from the rear. It was a typical performance. Favourite Cable Speed weakened in the run to the wire after coming under pressure a long way out after dictating more than half the race from gate two. The rise in weight took its toll following a last-start win. Fortune Patrol ran on without threatening near the inside after making his run second last following a slow start. Daily Beauty never fired a shot ridden cold from a wide draw.
