Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (811) - THE LI CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1200Meters
UNIVERSAL HORIZON and SMART FOLKS bumped on jumping.
A short distance after the start, PRIME MORTAR raced tight between UNIVERSAL HORIZON and SWEET DIAMOND which shifted out.
From wide barriers, GLENEALY GENERALS, HO HO JUNIOR and EASY SNIP were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When being shifted across, HO HO JUNIOR was momentarily steadied away from the heels of GLENEALY GENERALS near the 1150 Metres.
Near the 750 Metres, SWEET DIAMOND was awkwardly placed behind SMART FOLKS.
Near the 700 Metres, VALHALLA became unbalanced when racing close to the heels of SHINING FORTUNE.
Passing the 400 Metres, PRIME MORTAR shifted out and brushed UNIVERSAL HORIZON.
After this, PRIME MORTAR got its head on the side and lay in.
HO HO JUNIOR lay in under pressure in the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of DRAGON KINGDOM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SMART FOLKS, UNIVERSAL HORIZON and GLENEALY GENERALS were sent for sampling.

Well-backed Universal Horizon quickened nicely one from the right to take control 50m out traveling deep with cover behind midfield for a smart debut win. Glenealy Generals dashed well down the outside to finish a close second after biding his time two from the rear. Shining Fortune found a couple just too good after hitting the front 100m out following a prominent run one off the fence. He had shown flashes of ability in seven prior starts. California Vanes knocked up very late after working early on to lead from gate 10. The big weight took its toll following a last-start win. Prime Mortar ran on all right after a one-off trip behind midfield. He showed an improved performance second up following a rise in trip and switch to Sha Tin. Early favourite Sweet Diamond only plodded under a big weight following a one-off run better than midfield. He did have to carrying nine pounds more following a last-start win. Smart Folks couldn't lift when asked for an effort following a prominent run as the post-time favourite. Dragon Kingdom had nothing left in the tank 150m out after a pace-stalking run from a wide draw.
