Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (89) - THE YAN CHAI TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1400Meters
SOLAR POWER was slow to begin and then lost its left front plate on jumping.
After this, SOLAR POWER was aggressively ridden along for some distance to obtain a forward position.
After the race, A Hamelin stated that SOLAR POWER's failure to finish off the race was attributable to the manner in which it began and the use of the horse which then had to be made to overcome its poor start.
Before being allowed to race again, SOLAR POWER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
FLYING MIGHTY began only fairly.
CITY LEGEND shifted in at the start and bumped EMERALD SPUR.
A short distance after the start, MAGIC SUPREME lost ground when crowded for room between BREEZE OF SPRING and TURQUOISE ALPHA (A Badel) which shifted in after beginning awkwardly.
A Badel was advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to keep his mounts on a straight course wherever possible.
In this incident, BREEZE OF SPRING became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by MAGIC SUPREME.
This incident resulted in MAGIC SUPREME having to be ridden back in the field.
From the outside barriers, SUPER MISSION, GENERAL WINNER and JIANGXI STAMINA were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 1000 Metres, TURQUOISE ALPHA was left racing wide and without cover.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres, MAGIC SUPREME got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BLAZING BEAT.
At the same time, CITY LEGEND got its head up when travelling close to the heels of BREEZE OF SPRING.
SOLAR POWER lay out rounding the Home Turn.
After the 200 Metres, FLYING MIGHTY was shifted to the outside of JIANGXI STAMINA to obtain clear running.
A veterinary inspection of SOLAR POWER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HARMONY WIN WIN and BREEZE OF SPRING were sent for sampling.

Harmony Win Win kept up a strong gallop for a comfortable win after clearing to lead from a wide draw 1,000m out. The writing had been on the wall in three runs late last season and did appear to enjoy the sting out of the ground. Favourite Breeze Of Spring just got the better of Super Mission for second after a one-off trip in midfield. He's run well for second in both outings this term. Super Mission lost second late after reaching the quinella spot near the 100m following a wide without cover run worse than midfield from a wide draw. He does appear from this run to have the tools to add to a win in July. Street Scream came up one-paced after handing up the lead to travel box-seat. He shown steady progress in his two outings this term. Jiangxi Stamina made headway late down the outside to just miss the frame after a wide run with cover behind midfield. It was another honest effort. Sunny Baby came up one-paced when asked for more following a one-out, one-back run. He failed to build on placings in his opening two starts. City Legend ran on without menacing from behind midfield. He's clearly more effective on a fast surface. Solar Power cost himself any chance after a slow start.
