Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci shows street-infused men’s haute couture

Riccardo Tisci is a troublemaker. Since taking the creative helm of Givenchy in 2005, he has been turning the codes of the French heritage house upside down, with culturally loaded, street-infused ready-to-wear collections. But haute couture also has a special place in Tisci’s world, and the sophisticated outfits he sent down the catwalk partway through Givenchy’s autumn/winter 2016 menswear were testament to that.

The show featured elegant tailoring with style references to Americana – a continuation of his previous work.
