Crazy Rich Asians red carpet in Singapore – Henry Golding, Pierre Png and cast look their best for film’s Asia premiere

Premiere at Lion City’s Capitol Theatre is a homecoming of sorts for Crazy Rich Asians cast. Tan Kheng Hua, Koh Chieng Mun, Fiona Xie, Selena Tan, Constance Lau, Amy Cheng, and director Jon Chu all in attendance

It was a homecoming of sorts for the cast of Crazy Rich Asians as they descended upon Singapore for the Asia premiere of the romantic comedy based on Kevin Kwan’s bestselling novel, set in the city state.

The film, which grossed US$34 million in its opening week at the US box office, is the first Hollywood production with an all-Asian cast in more than 25 years.

Henry Golding, the British-Malaysian actor who plays the male lead, was joined on the red carpet by co-stars Pierre Png, Tan Kheng Hua, Koh Chieng Mun, Fiona Xie, Selena Tan, Constance Lau, Amy Cheng, and director Jon Chu.

Henry Golding, who made his big-screen debut in the film, arrives for the Crazy Rich Asians premiere.

The event took place at Capitol Theatre, one of Singapore’s historic venues, and also attracted a bunch of local celebrities and the city’s movers and shakers.

Crazy Rich Asians is in US cinemas now and opens on August 23 in Hong Kong.
