Harbour City is featuring 13 miniature world heritage sites - carved from chocolate by renowned Italian chocolatier Mirco Della Vecchia. Three Young Post junior reporters visited the exhibition last week.

"I heard the story Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when I was five," Iris Cheung said. "I was jealous of Charlie. Now I no longer need to envy him after visiting this exhibition - it was every bit as exciting as Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory."

Juliana Law agreed. "Stepping into the gallery, I was struck by the delicious scent of chocolate that pervaded the room," she said. "It instantly boosted my spirits."

The chocolate masterpieces on display include the Colosseum in Italy, the Great Wall of China and the Statue of Liberty in the US.

Also on show is "Walk Temptation" by pastry chef Vincent Wong. "The simple yet sophisticated sculpture is a suitcase bearing the British flag," explained Cheng Tsau-jin. "The design is pieced together from a variety of dark and milk chocolate-like silver chocolate balls that give it a shimmering effect."

Juliana's favourite was the chocolate Taj Mahal. "The dark chocolate sculpture was garnished with a touch of metallic paint and sparkling gold dust," she said. "It pays homage to Indian history and culture."

" Chocolate World Heritage" exhibition, which also showcases chocolate versions of the latest fashions and accessories, will run at Gallery by the Harbour until Sunday.
