Hong Kong secondary school students now have the opportunity to create their own non-fungible tokens (NFTs) at an interactive workshop offered by an esteemed multimedia artist for free.
Presented by K11 Musea, “METAVISION NFT 101 and create your own NFT” helps answer the big questions about the cryptocurrency trend that has shaped today’s art world.
Explainer: What are NFTs? Here’s what you need to know about non-fungible tokens
French multimedia artist Caroline Tronel, also known as The French Girl, will be the guest speaker at the workshop. She is known for her signature artwork, Double Heart. During the 90-minute event, participants will create an artwork using a template of Double Heart provided by the artist.
Students will also be guided to mint their own NFTs by using the platform Polygon. Students will gain ownership of their digital assets.
The workshop – conducted in English – will take place on May 28 at K11 Musea in Tsim Sha Tsui. All Form One to Form Six students from Hong Kong – who have joined Young Post’s Team YP programme – are eligible to join for free. To take part, students are required to fill in a registration form and answer a question about why they want to learn about NFTs in no more than 50 words. The deadline for registration is May 25.
A total of 10 students will be shortlisted and notified via email on the same day.
