Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher
Super-spy and S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Black Widow must team up with Marvel's most notorious vigilante, The Punisher, to stop an evil terrorist organisation's nefarious plans in the straight-to-DVD movie Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher.
This is another anime from Japanese studio Madhouse, whose previous Marvel projects include four television series: Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men, and Blade, plus the feature-length movie Iron Man: Rise of Technovore.
The movie follows the Black Widow and The Punisher as they track down an evil terrorist organisation called Leviathan, which has managed to somehow steal top secret S.H.I.E.L.D. proprietary weapons technology.
It plans to auction them off to the highest bidder - who are all Marvel baddies, as well.
But that is only the tip of the iceberg in Leviathan's evil plot for world domination, and it's up to Black Widow and The Punisher to uncover the truth.
Voicing the role of Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, is veteran actor Brian Bloom who voiced Captain America in the animated series The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, while bringing to life Natalia Romanova, or the Black Widow, is Jennifer Carpenter who is best known for her role as Debra Morgan in the dark drama Dexter.
