A brand new year means a brand new slew of hotly-anticipated games for players to look forward to. With something for fans of every genre, here are our picks for the best upcoming games of 2019.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Wasteland 3
With the same post-nuclear apocalyptic setting that inspired Fallout, Wasteland 3 is expected to have a stellar narrative, great dialogue, and a polished combat system. Details about the plot are still sparse for now, but players will lead a squad of rangers through a frozen wasteland and battle bandits and other survivors.

Cyberpunk 2077

This shooter RPG is set in Night City, a seedy high-tech metropolis rift with both blue-collar and white-collar crime. Adapted from a 1988 table top role-playing game that features the same edgy setting, this mega blockbuster from the studio behind The Witcher series is almost sure to be a winner.

Nintendo and Game Freak has already promised us a fully-fledged and brand new Pokémon role-playing game, set to launch in the second half of 2019. The new title has no name yet, but it will most likely be set in a new region with the original Pokémon’s tried-and-tested gameplay system.
