Hotel fire kills three foreigners on famous tourist street in the Thai capital Bangkok

A hotel fire on the fifth floor of the six-story Ember Hotel in Bangkok has killed three foreigners and sent seven other people to hospital. The fire broke out on December 29, 2024, at the hotel on Khaosan Road, a popular tourist and backpacking area in Thailand’s capital. The spokesperson for the Thai Royal Police reported that the deceased were all women. One victim from Brazil died at the scene while two other women, identified as being from Ukraine and the US, were pronounced dead in hospital.
