Tim Walz is an American politician who served as a House representative for Minnesota from 2007-2019 before becoming governor of Minnesota in 2019. In 2024, he was selected by Democratic presidential hopeful Kamala Harris to be her VP pick against Republican former president Donald Trump and his own choice for VP, J.D. Vance. Harris and Walz lost out to the Trump-Vance ticket.
