After dictating the pace from gate one and turning the final bend two lengths on top, Dragon Four Seas kept finding to defeat Telecom Power. Telcom Power worked home nicely down the outside to finish a close second after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen. Swagger Bro stayed on well for third after a handy run on the fence. It was his best effort following a downgrade and switch to the Valley. Endued ran on well for fourth after a rails run from behind midfield. He was able to build on a troubled eighth when trying the Valley 1,200m in a higher class last month. Super Charizzard just missed fourth prize money following a prominent run one off the fence. He had his chance. Loveisintheair was doing some nice work late for sixth after making his run third last from a tricky gate. It was an encouraging run on debut. Glory Cloud ran on without threatening after settling last from gate 11. He has been inconsistent in six outings this term. Champion Method never landed a blow after making his run five back and one off the fence from gate 12.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four : (479) - KC SMART MOBILITY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 ENDUED (K033) R Moore Bumped shortly after the start.

Near the 150 Metres was hampered and shifted to the outside of SANTORINI to continue into clear running.

When questioned, R Moore stated that after shifting to the outside of SANTORINI near the 200 Metres to obtain clear running he then commenced to ride his mount along.

He said near the 50 Metres ENDUED became positioned close to the heels of TELECOM POWER and when TELECOM POWER (H Bentley) shifted out slightly he became awkwardly placed close to that runner.

When questioned if there was an opportunity to continue to shift to the outside of TELECOM POWER, R Moore stated that as he was concerned he would be placed in more difficulty should TELECOM POWER continue to shift out, he elected to steady and shift to that runner's inside where he obtained clear running approaching the winning post.

H Bentley was advised to exercise more care.

Horse No 2 SWAGGER BRO (K089) L Hewitson After the event, L Hewitson stated that for some distance approaching the 100 Metres SWAGGER BRO had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of DRAGON FOUR SEAS.

Horse No 4 DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317) H Bowman Shifted out slightly at the start and was bumped.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 LOVEISINTHEAIR (J550) B Thompson Had its left hind plate adjusted in the holding stables, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

Jumped awkwardly.

Near the 900 Metres was steadied when crowded by CHAMPION METHOD (H T Mo) which shifted in when not quite clear.

H T Mo was severely reprimanded.

In the middle stages raced keenly and for some distance after the 800 Metres was steadied away from CHAMPION METHOD.

Horse No 6 GLORY CLOUD (H320) M L Yeung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Near the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of SANTORINI.

Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when ENDUED shifted to the inside of TELECOM POWER.

Horse No 7 RIDING HIGH (J403) M Chadwick Shortly after the start was bumped by DRAGON FOUR SEAS which shifted out slightly.

Approaching the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of DRAGON FOUR SEAS to obtain clear running and made contact with SANTORINI.

Approaching the 150 Metres bumped with SANTORINI due to both runners shifting ground.

After the event, M Chadwick stated that his mount had a comfortable run during the race but failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and he could offer no excuse for the horse's performance.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 MAGIC BEANS (J549) J Orman Jumped only fairly.

From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 9 SANTORINI (J076) A Badel Sustained a minor abrasion to the right hind leg whilst being transported to the course.

Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

Bumped near the 300 Metres.

Approaching the 150 Metres bumped with RIDING HIGH due to both runners shifting ground.

Horse No 10 SOMETHING JONAH (K024) K De Melo Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between ENDUED and SUPER CHARIZZARD, both of which shifted ground.

Horse No 11 SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184) L Ferraris Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.

After the event, L Ferraris stated that after making contact with SOMETHING JONAH shortly after the start his left foot became awkwardly positioned in his stirrup.

He said for this reason near the 850 Metres he was obliged to reposition his foot in his left stirrup to ensure that it was safely positioned.

Horse No 12 TELECOM POWER (J332) H Bentley Sent for sampling post-race.
