Race Seven : (463) - YIK YAM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 3 PRINCE ALEX (G307) A Atzeni Bumped at the start.
When being shifted across behind runners in the early stages was steadied near the 1500 Metres to avoid TAKE ACTION.
Horse No 4 STURDY RUBY (H207) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 THE WAY WE WIN (J493) B Thompson Bumped at the start.
Horse No 6 TAKE ACTION (J098) B Avdulla After the event, B Avdulla reported that when racing to the outside of THE AZURE in the early stages he was obliged to restrain his mount to race behind that runner when THE AZURE remained racing one-off the rail.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 THE AZURE (J227) R Moore Jumped only fairly and then raced tight between TAKE ACTION and HARMONY GALAXY.
After the event, R Moore stated that after racing tight at the start his mount was obliged to settle further back in the field than what had been intended.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 STORM RUNNER (J452) R Kingscote Jumped awkwardly and then shortly afterwards bumped with PRINCE ALEX which shifted out slightly.
From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 10 JUMBO FORTUNE (G195) A Hamelin Bumped at the start.

Following a one-off trip better than midfield, Sturdy Ruby just held off Jumbo Fortune after driving to the lead 100m out for a well-deserved second win from five starts this season. Jumbo Fortune finished well to just miss after switching underneath tiring leader Circuit Fiery for a clear run near the 200m. He keeps promising without delivering on a win line across both tracks this term. Good Luck Win found a couple too good after moving to the lead near the 200m following a speed-tracking run from gate 12. He has continued to hold his condition well in his past three starts following a win. Red Majesty had his chance but only kept on one-paced after a box-seat run. It was another honest effort. Pegasus General ran on steadily to finish next best after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a better effort in this grade with a step back to the distance of a Class Five win at his penultimate run. Favourite The Azure ran on without threatening after making his run third last after a tardy start from gate seven. He couldn't build on back-to-back wins and a close second from his three previous starts.
