Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Fortune Warrior settled in the box seat, hit the lead 300m out and shot clear for a second win from 26 starts. He took full advantage of gate four after catching the eye in two earlier all-weather track runs this term. Vulcanus finished strongly near the outside for second after getting hampered 650m out to have one behind him coming to the final bend. Sensationally punted Robot Knight just won a battle for third after a prominent run wide without cover from gate nine. He's always a chance sprinting on this surface. Bowser had his chance but had to settle for fourth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. The big weight took its toll. Newcomer Looks Outstanding came from last and down the outside for fifth. It was an encouraging debut performance. Silver Spurs produced a grinding effort after a very wide trip travelling midfield from gate 10. Excellent Daddy made some ground without ever looking a threat after making his run early on at the rear from gate eight. Riding High didn't have much left in the tank over the final 150m after dictating the run from gate six.

Near the 400 Metres was bumped by LUCKY IMPACT.

Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 LUCKY IMPACT (J337) H Bentley Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

After the event, H Bentley reported that his mount hung out badly making the first turn near the 700 Metres and was checked away from ROBOT KNIGHT.

He said LUCKY IMPACT continued to hang out throughout the middle stages and near the 450 Metres made contact with BUNTA BABY when crowded between BUNTA BABY and VULCANUS (A Atzeni) which improved to the outside of EXCELLENT DADDY (M Chadwick) when that runner then shifted out.

A Atzeni and M Chadwick were advised to exercise more care.
