Beauty Destiny turned the final bend three from the rear and flew home late to win going away 100m out for back-to-back wins. Telecom Power ran on nicely for second after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He had an easier run from gate four after running on without threatening from awkward gates. Racingrace kept on gamely for third after travelling one-out, one-back. He's shown improvement. Punted late Wood On Fire kept on for fourth after jumping quickest of all before settling box seat. It was an improved effort from gate one for the nine-year-old. Glory B was doing his best work late after switching out sharply for a clear run 200m out following a rails run travelling five back. He keeps promising without delivering. Fortune Whiskey made ground late down the outside settling two from the rear. It was clearly his best run from 10 local starts. Speedy Smartie was retreating 100m out after a speed-tracking run outside Colonel from gate 11. He's destined for Class Five. Favourite Lightning Bolt found nothing when push came to shove after a rails run from midfield. It was a disappointing performance.

Race Seven : (218) - EDINBURGH HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 BEAUTY DESTINY (H281) A Atzeni Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between FORTUNE WHISKEY and INVINCIBLE DELIGHT which shifted out after making contact with CARRYON SMILING.

After the 600 Metres became unbalanced when it shifted in towards the running rail and was corrected by its rider A Atzeni.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 LYRICAL MOTION (G081) H Bowman Trainer C Fownes confirmed that from the outside barrier he had instructed H Bowman to ride the horse conservatively in the early stages.

Horse No 3 COLONEL (D090) L Ferraris A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 LIGHTNING BOLT (G130) J McDonald Bumped at the start.

After the event, J McDonald reported that his mount raced "flat??tonight and he could offer no excuse for the horse's disappointing performance.

Trainer C S Shum stated that the horse had pleased him leading into the event and, in his opinion, had performed similarly to its previous race starts.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 FORTUNE WHISKEY (J153) M F Poon Proved difficult to load.

Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE WHISKEY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

Shortly after the start raced tight to the inside of SPEEDY SMARTIE which shifted in slightly.

Horse No 8 INVINCIBLE DELIGHT (J372) B Thompson A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 TELECOM POWER (J332) K De Melo Near the 1000 Metres blundered when it struck the heels of INVINCIBLE DELIGHT (B Thompson) which was racing tight to the inside of SPEEDY SMARTIE (L Hewitson).

As the Stewards were satisfied that INVINCIBLE DELIGHT had maintained a three wide position to the outside of RACINGRACE, no direct action was taken, however, both Jockeys Thompson and L Hewitson were advised, wherever possible, to ensure runners to their inside have comfortable racing room.

Horse No 10 GLORY B (H373) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and shortly afterwards bumped with LIGHTNING BOLT.

After the 200 Metres was shifted out a number of horses to continue into clear running.

Horse No 12 WOOD ON FIRE (C460) M L Yeung On the Home Turn was held up for clear running and on straightening near the 300 Metres shifted out towards SPEEDY SMARTIE, resulting in its rider M L Yeung becoming unbalanced.
