Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (81) - THE FEDERATION OF HK GUANGDONG COMMUNITY TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 2 CARROLL STREET (D489) B Avdulla Passing the 400 Metres got unbalanced when being bumped by FAST NETWORK which shifted in in an attempt to obtain clear running and to avoid the heels of MIDORI GLORY.
Near the 150 Metres, when commencing to give ground, was steadied to avoid the heels of FAST NETWORK (Z Purton) which shifted in when improving quickly onto the heels of CHEVAL VALIANT which shifted out under pressure.
In all the circumstances, Z Purton was issued with a reprimand for his role in the incident.
Horse No 3 FLYING HIGH (E204) L Hewitson Crowded for room shortly after the start as a result of CARROLL STREET shifting out.
Had some difficulty obtaining clear running after passing the 400 Metres before gaining a clear run passing the 300 Metres.
Horse No 4 CELESTIAL COLOURS (H362) H Bowman Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ALPHA ONE (J435) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 FAST NETWORK (J358) Z Purton Tightened for room shortly after the start between KA YING CHEER and FLYING HIGH which shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 KING PROFIT (J539) M L Yeung Crowded for room shortly after the start between DASHING DRAGON and MIDORI GLORY (M F Poon) which shifted out.
M F Poon was warned for failing to make a greater effort to keep his mount straight shortly after the start.
Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 SUMMIT CHEERS (E221) H Bentley Jumped very awkwardly, resulting in H Bentley having to adjust his left side stirrup iron a short distance after the start.
Horse No 13 CHEVAL VALIANT (E336) P N Wong After passing the 300 Metres shifted out several horses under pressure.
Horse No 14 ONE FOR ALL (G012) A Badel Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No WE ARE HERO (G207) Y L Chung Withdrawn on 5.10.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter MIDORI GLORY.
Before being allowed to race again, WE ARE HERO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Well-backed outsider Alpha One worked to the lead near the grandstand side from a low draw and just held off Celestial Colours for a first win at his fourth local start. Celestial Colours made it close on the wire after sitting third on the grandstand side from gate 13. He has given a good sight in both goes over the straight 1,000m this term. Odds-on favourite Fast Network was badly held up for a run until the 100m travelling midfield in the centre of the track. He should have gone close to winning. Punted late Cheval Valiant kept on reasonably well for fourth after a pace-prompting run from a low draw. It was a good effort following a Class Four win. Midori Glory just missed the frame after a handy run. It was a better effort trying the straight 1,000m for the first time at his second start this term. Flying High wove a run late to finish next best after biding his time two from the rear. He wasn't suited by the muddling pace in front. Ka Ying Cheer only plodded after a midfield run on the grandstand side. He is better suited over 1,200m.
