Race Ten : (791) - SPORTSMANSHIP 1200M HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 SELF IMPROVEMENT (H337) K Teetan Was obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 PRAWNS ELEVEN (J140) H Bentley Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 4 BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (J316) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 DIVANO (J142) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 MUST GO (J133) B Avdulla After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when bumped by PHANTOM CYCLONE which shifted in and away from RIDING HIGH.
Approaching the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of SELF IMPROVEMENT to continue into clear running.
Horse No 7 GOR MO TUEN (J434) L Hewitson On jumping was steadied when crowded between MUST GO and PRAWNS ELEVEN which shifted out.
A short distance later was again steadied when crowded.
Horse No 8 PHANTOM CYCLONE (J271) B Thompson Was bumped after travelling a short distance and became unbalanced.
For a short distance near the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving to the inside of SELF IMPROVEMENT which was giving ground.
Horse No 11 SUPER LOVE DRAGON (J038) L Ferraris Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 12 VIVA GRACIOUSNESS (J079) C Y Ho Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between DIVANO and SOLID IMPACT which shifted in when being corrected by its rider.
Horse No 13 BEAUTY THUNDER (J299) K C Leung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
The performance of BEAUTY THUNDER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY THUNDER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Bottomuptogether won eased down after turning the final bend two lengths on top dictating the pace from gate one. He is now perfect in three starts despite a rise in class and distance and clearly has a bright future. Divano stayed on well to finish a clear-cut second after a rail run from midfield. Like the winner, he lived up to some solid form in Class Four. Solid Impact ran on steadily along the inside to fill a placing after a rail run from behind midfield. It was another honest effort with a step back to his preferred 1,200m. Must Go made a decent bid late for fourth following a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a pleasing effort with a return to the turf after winning two of five starts on the dirt. Super Love Dragon made good ground late down the outside for fifth after turning in last at the top of the straight. He is crying out for a longer trip.
