Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Packing Hermod shot clear after hitting the front near the 100m for a smart debut win. He has a bright future. Prime Mortar got up late for second near the inside after a prominent run on the fence. It was a return to form after misfiring on the dirt last start with blood in his trachea. Scotch Tycoon knocked up late after turning the final bend two lengths on top leading from gate three. He might be able to get away with a win before the end of the season following placings in three straight runs. Wood On Fire stayed on well for fourth after a handy run despite getting impeded early on. He is always a chance over this Valley trip. Telecom Supremo found a run late from behind midfield to finish next best. He is honest but isn't a prolific winner. Punted late, Mr Good Vibes produced only a grinding effort after settling on the rail in midfield. He wasn't up to the challenge after a win last start in Class Five. Divine Shining made some ground from the rear of the field. It was an improved effort. Savvy Chic came up empty when asked for an effort after settling one off the rail in midfield.
