Recap by phillip woo
All For St Paul's kept finding after getting away with slow fractions in front to make it a perfect two from two over the dirt's 1,650m course this term. He's hard to catch if you gift him his own way in front. Punted late, Alacrity couldn't pull back the margin after a speed-tracking run. It was a season-best effort following a switch to the dirt. Mr Ascendency just got the bob down for third after getting all favours in the box seat. He was able to go one better than a rallying fourth on turf last start. Favourite Chancheng Prince only plodded after a one-out, one-back run. It was another honest effort but he does appear to be on his mark. Find My Love made headway late to finish next best without threatening the top four after a patient ride one from the rear. He's at his best over the 1,400m. Apache Pass just plodded after a one-off trip in midfield. He's struggling to recapture top form on dirt this season. Berlin Tango was a non-factor after a rail run in midfield. Age might be getting the better of him. Nearly Fine never landed a blow from the rear of the field. He'll be looking forward to a downgrade.
