Recap by phillip woo
Favourite Champion Dragon kept on gamely after assuming the lead 250m out following a pace-stalking run in a slowly run race for a third career win over the Sha Tin 1,800m. Tourbillon Diamond came from last and widest out to just edge All For St Paul's for second. It was a return to form following downgrade third-up for his new trainer this season. All For St Paul's gave a cheeky sight after bowling along in front as expected through slow fractions. It was another good run following a last-start win on dirt. Bourbonaire just missed a placing after being short of room until the last 100m travelling on the leader's back. It was a better result after a ground-covering defeat last month. Looking Great held his ground after a prominent run one off the fence. He's itching for a return to Class Three. Punted late Columbus County came up one-paced from midfield. Second favourite Rise Brethren was held up the entire straight after a patient ride two from the rear. Nearly Fine ran into a tonne of traffic over the final 200m from midfield.
