Recap by phillip woo
Well-backed Majestic Victory handed up the lead following several mid-race moves, settled fourth on the fence and took control 150m out to register his second Hong Kong win. He is an honest performer, and Angus Chung Yik-lai gave him a lovely ride with a feather weight. Sunny Star went forward five wide 1,100m from home to track stablemate Perfect Team and stuck on well to finish a distant second. It was a good effort, and he is a winner waiting to happen at Happy Valley. Pegasus General ran on well from near last to win a blanket finish for third. He can produce a good run now and then. Natural Storm came from last and widest out to just miss a placing. He is in the right grade but prefers longer trips. Favourite Turin Mascot just missed the frame after getting held up for most of the home straight. He should have finished closer. Perfect Team was on his tippy toes 100m out after taking off from last to lead the race before its halfway point. Beautyverse was again disappointing following his handy run on what was his Happy Valley debut.
